Lyco Site Safety Award

Monadelphous is proud to announce that Thein Maung has won the Lyco Site Safety Award.   

The nomination comes as a recognition of Thein’s unwavering commitment to safety, as highlighted by a teammate who commended his leadership and willingness to engage in difficult conversations to ensure the safety of his fellow workers.  

Thein has demonstrated remarkable initiative by actively advocating for safer work methods and protocols, fostering a culture of safety within the workplace. His proactive approach to addressing potential hazards and promoting safer practices has earned him praise from colleagues and management.  

The Lyco Site Safety Award, introduced by Lyco in October 2023, aims to acknowledge individuals who go above and beyond in their dedication to health and safety. Criteria for nominations include: 

• A demonstrated commitment to improving safety. 
• Innovative approaches to safety practices. 
• An exemplary attitude towards health and safety protocols.  

The award has positively influenced the safety culture on-site, with increased nominations fostering a sense of positivity and morale among workers. Notable safety performance and awareness improvements have been observed, particularly in areas such as housekeeping and adherence to basic safety protocols.
