Return to civil-isation

Projects

As Australia accelerates its energy transition, the team at BMC and Australian Power Industry Partners (APIP) have been contracted by Zenviron on the Wooreen energy storage system project. Upon completion, the project will have the capacity to power 230,000 households for up to four hours at a time.

Mobilising to site in early March, with a peak workforce of over 60, BMC worked alongside APIP on a transmission pole work package, while concurrently delivering shared civil and electrical scopes.

Representing BMC’s first transmission and battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Victoria with Zenviron, the project is a strong opportunity to demonstrate capability and collaboration across Monadelphous businesses.

“Our collaboration with APIP demonstrates Monadelphous’ ability to integrate new capabilities into the business rapidly and transfer expertise between businesses and states,” Eric Barclay, BMC’s Electrical Manager explained.

“We’re in a strong position for future BESS opportunities, which help build our capacity to support energy transition more broadly.”

While BMC’s civil and electrical scopes remain in progress, the team has already been awarded an additional civil package for the site, a testament to the quality of work delivered so far, and a strong example of our commitment to delivering what we promise.
