Things recently got spooky on the greens as many of our Monos’ Eastern Region team turned out for this year’s Putt Putt Cup.
Each of the 18 haunted holes brought its own creepy character, setting the scene for some serious competition and plenty of laughs.
Angie Arthur came out on top with the lowest score of the day at 36, while Annabelle Newton and Adrian Collins tied for most hole-in-ones, notching up three each. General Manager Duane Oxford also deserves a special mention for actually playing, despite his well-documented dislike of the sport.
But it was over at the snack table, the real battle unfolded. As players focused on the greens, a fearless flock of bin chickens launched a full-scale raid on the team’s pizzas and sandwiches.
Armed with only napkins and sheer determination, the recruitment crew stood their ground, protecting lunch with some impressive reflexes and heroic hand waving.
In the end, Team Yarrbah took home the big win, claiming the Monos’ trophy and bragging rights for the year.
