Leadership Updates EC
2 Minute Read

Welcome to the first edition of On the Hook for 2025.

I hope you all had the opportunity to enjoy some well-earned rest over the break. For those who worked through, your efforts don’t go unnoticed - thank you for your continued commitment.

A special shoutout to the EC tendering team, who have been recognised with the EC Teamwork Baton for their outstanding effort on multiple significant tenders which were submitted at the end of January, even working through the holiday period. Their dedication in getting tenders over the line has been instrumental in setting us up for success this year. Well done, and thanks to everyone within the Heavy Lift tendering and operations teams who have contributed to these multiple tenders.

Over the past few months, 24 undergraduate students have taken part in our Summer Vacation Program, gaining valuable hands-on experience across multiple sites. With the program now wrapped up, we hope to see some of them back at Monadelphous in the future. Applications for our next intake are opening soon, so if you know someone who’d be a great fit, refer them here.

Following the success of the crane operator traineeship we are launching a Monadelphous rigging development pathway to provide a comprehensive career and learning opportunity. The rigging pathway is expected to last around 12 months for people new to the industry but can also be adapted where skills and experience already exist. If you have an interest, please speak to your supervisor.

We’ve also recently announced the successful applicants for our 2025 Community Grants Program. After launching as a pilot in Karratha in 2023 and expanding to Bunbury and Darwin last year, the program continues to grow, providing targeted support that aligns with the needs of each region. This year’s recipients are making a real difference in their communities, and we look forward to seeing the impact of their initiatives.

Looking ahead, we have a strong pipeline of work supporting multiple projects including Perdaman, Pluto 1, CD3, Western Range, multiple M&IS projects and Fortescue.

The team commenced onsite on the Perdaman project in February providing heavy haul services at Project Ceres, with completion expected midway through 2026. The first modules have already been successfully transported to site. The Alevro team join Melchor on site as they complete the construction of reinforced concrete structures.

We continue to be busy across Fortescue with shuts across every site happening throughout the month of March.

In the months ahead, we’ll be rolling out the Monadelphous-wide Respect in Every Step campaign, reinforcing the importance of a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace. Each of us plays a role in shaping our team culture, and I encourage you to get involved and uphold the high standards we set for ourselves and each other every day.

I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2025!

Until next time, stay safe.
