For the first time since the Alevro joint venture was established between Monadelphous and Fagioli, the Alevro Committee united in the same place together – which just so happened to be Italy, the home of Fagioli!
The purpose of the trip to Northern Italy was to further strengthen relationships and enhance Monos’ familiarisation of the breadth and depth of the Fagioli capability on a global scale, explained Lorna Rechichi, Alevro Committee Member and Monadelphous Heavy Lift General Manager.
"You can never underestimate the power of face-to-face interactions to grow and strengthen relationships both with our business partners and potential future customers," said Lorna.
“The trip enabled us to engage more freely and directly, as we worked through opportunities and challenges in detail. Our strong culture and values alignment was reinforced, which is critical to our future success together.”
Alongside Lorna, Alevro Joint Venture Manager, Rod Stribley and Monadelphous Engineering Construction Executive General Manager, Adam Cook travelled over 13,000kms to meet with the Fagioli team and fellow Committee members, Chief Executive Officer, Fabio Belli and Asia Managing Director, Cristiano Cavallini.
“We arrived into Bologna, met the Fagioli senior management team in their facilities in S.Ilario d’Enza, visited major global customers, the Fagioli freight forwarding business in Milan, and the Cometto factory in San Dalmazzo.
“We were also hosted by Fagioli at the Construction ANIP Gala Dinner and had the opportunity to engage more broadly with the Fagioli team and their customers.
“We gained a broader appreciation and were very impressed by the breadth and depth of their capability and scale in heavy haulage, specialist lifting, and freight forwarding and meeting several major global customers demonstrated the global reach of their work, and the strong relationships which they have.

For the Monos and Fagioli team, forming relationships means they can connect more deeply and draw on their individual strengths, as well as strengths more broadly within their businesses.

The team met with Cometto to further strengthen their relationship with a key supplier of SPMT equipment required in high volumes to deliver heavy haulage scopes, and to see firsthand the significant investment Cometto are making in their facilities to grow production capacity and innovate their product.

And of course, no trip to Italy is complete without enjoying some of the local delights – gelato anyone?
Or is parma ham and salumi more your vibe?
