Lifting smarter: Hybrid cranes join our fleet

They're here, they're a first for Australia, and they're helping shape the future of lifting.

We are thrilled to welcome not one, but two new 250-tonne hybrid cranes to our Heavy Lift fleet, marking another exciting milestone in our journey towards safer, smarter and lower-emissions lifting solutions.

To celebrate the occasion, we welcomed our people, customers and industry partners to our Bibra Lake facility for the official unveiling. More than a showcase of new equipment, the launch event was a chance to celebrate the people behind this achievement and their shared passion for finding smarter ways to support our customers. From procurement and engineering through to operations and project delivery, bringing these cranes into service was a real team effort.

With coffee in hand and the cranes on display, guests had the opportunity to view the cranes up close, meet the team behind the milestone and see firsthand how lifting technology continues to evolve.

The addition of these cranes is more than a fleet expansion. It strengthens our ability to support customers across the Pilbara with innovative lifting solutions, enhances our operational flexibility and positions us to capture new opportunities as customer demand continues to evolve. As the industry transitions towards lower-emissions operations, investments like these ensure we remain at the forefront of lifting capability while creating a platform for future growth.

As the first hybrid all-terrain cranes of their kind to operate in Australia, these new additions combine cutting-edge technology with the performance our customers expect in demanding environments. The cranes can operate in full electric mode with zero exhaust emissions while still delivering the power, reliability and lifting capacity required for remote Pilbara operations. More than a technological milestone, they expand our ability to support customers on their decarbonisation journeys while continuing to provide the safe, dependable lifting services that define our approach to delivery.

Daniel Ooi, General Manager Heavy Lift, said the milestone reflects the evolution of the industry and the commitment of Monadelphous people to keep pushing boundaries.

The hybrid cranes are the latest addition to our growing Heavy Lift fleet. Since February, we've also added a 150-tonne lattice boom crawler, a 250-tonne telecrawler and a 300-tonne all-terrain crane, strengthening our ability to meet customer demand and support a strong pipeline of work across the Pilbara and beyond.

As our industry continues to evolve, milestones like these help ensure Monadelphous remains at the forefront of safer, smarter and more sustainable lifting solutions.
