Team,

As we close out 2025, it’s a great time to reflect on what we’ve achieved together. This year has been full of challenges, opportunities, and some incredible wins, and every success is thanks to the hard work and commitment of our people.

Our business continues to grow, with employee numbers increasing by almost 20% since January. We’re proud of our collective effort to recruit, mobilise and integrate a record number of people while delivering over $1.0 billion in project revenue this year. We kept learning, innovating, and improving, and our hard work has resulted in strong revenue growth.  Looking ahead, our committed work pipeline remains strong, supported by our customers’ decarbonisation activities, electrification of operations, and continued growth in our core markets.

Once again, we were thrilled to welcome a high calibre of graduates and apprentices into our team, with the company receiving recognition amongst Australia’s Top 20 Graduate Program Employers and Top 20 Intern Programs for 2025. We also proudly launched our Monadelphous Rigging Pathway Program, an industry-leading initiative designed to shape the next generation of highly skilled riggers.

This year we proudly celebrated 73 internal promotions, recognising the depth of experience, capability and leadership talent within the EC Division. These promotions reflect the hard work and commitment of our people and the opportunities that come with being part of a business that values growth and development.

We also strengthened our leadership capability further to support continued delivery excellence, welcoming Daniel Ooi as General Manager, Heavy Lift and Support Services; Patrick O’Boyle as Business Development Manager; and Patrick Fraser as Operations Manager, joining our Senior Leadership Team. Congratulations to Michael Sigrist (Melchor), Trent Murat, Mark Cox, Tony Giglia, Martin Mackay (returning from Mongolia) and Dave Muirhead (Alevro), who are now operating as Operations Managers across the various EC Business Units.

Melchor have become an integral part of our operations over the past 12 months, enabling us to provide a fully integrated service offering to our customers. Through this offering we were successful in securing the full scope of the Jimblebar TLO Contract, which combined bulk earthworks and SMPEI+fab work packages into our first single major contract incorporating every EC Business Unit.

We continued to build and diversify our capabilities through strategic acquisitions, welcoming Kerman Contracting and APIP (Australian Power Industry Partners) to the Monadelphous Group. This expands our expertise in non-process infrastructure design and construction, and HV transmission infrastructure, enhancing our ability to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects for our customers.

One of the highlights this year was our work on BHP’s Car Dumper 3 (CD3) Renewal project, where our 1600-tonne crawler crane, Rubino, named in honour of our late Chairman, made its operational debut with a precision lift no other crane in Australia could achieve.  This feat marked a historic milestone for our business and a tribute to our legacy.

Our investment in capital and our commitment to innovation continued with the arrival of our first fully electric crane. Set to debut in the Pilbara the acquisition of this crane is a significant step forward in our commitment to sustainability and support of our customers’ efforts towards decarbonisation.

We have continued the development and rollout of the InEight project management system, with the majority of the modules now operational and being implemented on multiple projects.  As new projects are secured and transitioned onto the new system, this will continue to support our journey in standardising and improving our project management systems across our operations.

Since introducing the Teamwork Baton Award to our Division last year, we’ve continued to recognise the power of collaboration and the strong outcomes it delivers. In 2025, six awards were presented, bringing our total to 10. Congratulations to this year’s winners:

  • Projects Estimating Team,
  • CLAHDO Project Team,
  • DFDM Teams;
  • CD3 Replacement Project Team;
  • Jimblebar TLO Pre-Contract Teams; and
  • Helios Project Team (InEight).

These awards celebrate those who demonstrate our values of Teamwork, Achievement and Integrity, and show what’s possible when we work together.

This year we were recognised by our industry and customer peers alike - not just for what we achieve, but how we achieve it: with innovation, collaboration, and integrity at the core. Our teams and initiatives were acknowledged as finalists and winners across multiple industry awards throughout the year, reflecting the dedication and excellence that define our people and our business. Our Alevro team celebrated a standout achievement, taking home both Project of the Year and the People’s Choice Award at the CICA Project of the Year Awards for their work on the Pluto Train 2 Project.

Following the success of last year’s program, we expanded the Monadelphous Community Grants Program to eight regions enabling us to reach more people and fund more local initiatives in the communities where we live and work. These grants reflect what we value as a company and strengthen our connection with the communities that support our operations, creating shared benefits and lasting impact.

This month marked an exciting milestone for Monadelphous as we launched our Customer Value Proposition (CVP): The Monadelphous Way. Over the past year, we’ve worked closely with teams across the business to define what makes us distinctively unique. Our CVP captures what sets us apart and how we create value for our customers: We rise to the challenge and deliver – the right way. This blueprint reflects not only what we do, but how we do it, guided by integrity, collaboration, and a relentless focus on delivery excellence.

In the message last Christmas, we spotlighted our need to improve our HSE performance in 2025. We are proud of our response and pleased our scorecard is starting to reflect our level of effort. A sincere thank you to everyone. This has been a team effort and continues to demonstrate our genuine commitment and care for our people.

We anticipate that delivering projects will not get any easier in 2026. The Project HSE Safeguard tool has been a helpful addition in 2025. Teams have used this to identify unique project challenges early and to introduce proactive measures to keep performance on track. Thank you to all those who contributed and please continue to diligently apply this process pre-mobilisation and during project execution.

Whilst it has been a busy year delivering projects, we have also been busy bolstering our controls against fatal risks. A massive shout out to all our teams involved in the introduction of driver fatigue/distraction, pedestrian avoidance and crane override systems. We are proud that the good work initiated by EC has resulted in these lifesaving technologies being introduced across the wider business.

We also wanted to acknowledge the important contribution of our Wellbeing Supporters. We have continued to evolve the program and grow our supporter base, with all sites and offices represented. We were chuffed for our program to be recognised by industry, taking out the AREEA Mental Health and Wellbeing Award 2025Well done and a big thank you to all those involved.

For those working over the Christmas-New Year period, we thank you for your commitment to support our precontract efforts and our ongoing operations. We encourage everyone to embrace our Tinny Time themes through this period, with a focus on our ‘Checking in’ and ‘Speaking up’.

If you’re taking a break, we hope it’s safe, refreshing, and enjoyable. While this is a precious time to relax and enjoy the company of those closest to us, we also recognise that the festive season can be challenging for some. Our Employee Assistance Program is free, confidential, and available for you and your family.

Thank you for everything you’ve contributed this year - your hard work and dedication make all the difference.

Thank you all, have a Merry Christmas, stay safe and we look forward to seeing everyone in the new year for what will be a very busy and exciting year ahead!

Adam and Josh
