Leadership Updates
1 Minute Read

We begin this edition with some very significant news from our customer INPEX – just this week we have received a variation to our existing offshore maintenance contract, which will see us add to our current scope of work to now include maintenance services for INPEX's onshore processing facilities at Bladin Point in Darwin. Congratulations to everyone involved in securing this new work, it is a testament to our team’s delivery to date, and commitment to delivering quality outcomes for our customer, INPEX. You can read more about this contract variation in this edition of Ramp Up.

It’s been a busy couple of months in our Energy business with three major turnarounds taking place simultaneously, requiring an additional 800 people to successfully execute these works. It has been a massive effort from everyone involved, both on site and in the office, and I want to thank you all for your efforts to deliver safe and efficient outcomes for our customers.

Last week, our Karratha Onshore team were awarded the M&IS Teamwork Baton by Executive General Manager, Al Reid, at our annual M&IS Leadership Conference in Perth. Since 2018, the Baton has travelled across our operations to celebrate successes and highlight the power of working as a team. Congratulations to our crews at Karratha Gas Plant and Pluto on their outstanding delivery of major turnarounds since the contract’s inception in 2012.

We also recently launched our annual M&IS Strategy, where we reflected on our strong progress in 2022/23 and focus for the year ahead. Our Energy business had a record year in 2022/23 and our focus will remain on growing our services in core markets, expanding our industrial services capability, and building on our culture of innovation.

Importantly, we will continue our relentless pursuit of better safety performance in the year ahead through resilient leadership, active engagement and an unwavering focus on fatal risks. Although we are doing good work already, I believe we can always do better when it comes to safety, as any injury is one injury too many.

We sat down with M&IS Energy Project Manager, Wang Wei Lau, this month to hear his story and learn about our first venture into offshore decommissioning on the Northern Endeavour project. You can also read about our commitment to sustainability and what’s been happening around the business.

Finally, make sure you tune in to the next episode of The Resilience Project’s Digital Wellbeing Series focused on gratitude, which is free to access for all Monadelphous employees and their families.

Keep up the good work, and please continue to stay safe.

Doug.
