A test of teamwork – Our Heavy Lift team

A unique challenge, a project with a number of complexities, 18 months of pre-planning, multiple contractors integrated into one team and a critical outcome to deliver safely and successfully for Woodside at the Pluto LNG plant in Karratha – the Heavy Lift team was up for the task. 

This project is a great example of working together to provide the capabilities needed for our customer, Woodside.   

Our team has worked alongside Woodside since 2012 when we secured an initial contract for the provision of maintenance and shutdown services at Karratha Gas Plant. In 2018, the Monadelphous Heavy Lift team joined with a contract complementing our maintenance works, delivering crane services across Woodside’s onshore facilities.  

More recently, the team were able to provide their services to engineer and execute the transportation and heavy lifting of a heat exchanger module from the Port of Dampier, into position within the live gas plant.
