In November 2024, Monadelphous partnered with Jason Elsegood, Director at Cross Cultural Consultants to deliver onsite training to our workforce.

The training focuses on the importance of working effectively across cultures, recognising some of the invisible rules that exist and appreciating the differences between individualist and collective cultures.

The training was delivered to 130 employees over seven, three-hour sessions between November and December last year.

Feedback from the training has been extremely positive, with one participant sharing: “As a proud Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island descendant, I would like to thank Monos’ for providing this training to all employees. The money spent on this training was worth every cent.”

Another participant reflected on the training in the context of their community.

“I really enjoyed learning about cultural differences during the training. Living in Darwin, where we have culturally significant sites and communities, this training was especially valuable,” they said.

“It helped me understand how behaviours and norms can vary between cultures”.

This Monadelphous-led initiative will see a total of 224 employees complete the cross-cultural training once all 12 sessions have been delivered.
