When you work in our Perth office every day, you don’t necessarily get to experience the scale and diversity of our operations.

Tamara Archer and Aleysha Carr, two of our long-term oil and gas team members, recently had the opportunity to visit Karratha Gas Plant and get a taste of life on site for the first time.

Personal Assistant, Tamara, joined Monadelphous in 2016 as a Recruitment Administrator and said what she has always loved most about working at Monadelphous is the people and culture.

“It was amazing to connect with people on site in Karratha and to be able to finally put faces to names because we all work very closely together, and ultimately, we are all one team,” she said.

“For me personally, it was incredibly beneficial to have firsthand exposure to our operations and put into perspective the importance of safety and wellbeing on site.”

Administration Officer, Aleysha, said she feels very lucky for the opportunities she has had to grow and progress her career over the past six years.

“After a couple of years working as a Corporate Receptionist, I was beginning to think about my next career move, when I was offered a role in oil and gas and I have never looked back,” she said. “Getting to come to site has been the icing on the cake for me – it’s been really cool to spend time in person with our team on site.”

Project Director, Jamie Burgess, accompanied Tamara and Aleysha to Karratha and said it was fantastic for them to tour KGP and get a greater understanding of our day-to-day operations.

“I think it’s so important for our people right across our workforce to visit our crews on site, not only to build strong relationships, but to experience the scale of our projects and the challenges they are sometimes faced with,” Jamie said.
