Leadership Updates
1 Minute Read

Hello, and welcome to the latest edition of The Fix. It has been another busy month in the Mining and Minerals North West Region, and I want to thank everyone for keeping their focus on delivering safely coming out of the new year period.

In February, Monadelphous announced its half-year results, reporting revenue of just over $1 billion for the six-month period to 31 December 2023. During the half-year, we saw continuing strong demand for maintenance services and achieved significant contract awards across the Company. These strong results are underpinned by the commitment of all our teams and something we can all take pride in.

We also recently announced that we have been appointed to a panel providing fixed plant projects across Fortescue’s Pilbara operations in Western Australia until 2025, adding to the non-process infrastructure services panel contract awarded last financial year. Well done to everyone involved in securing this appointment as we continue to grow our relationship with Fortescue.

A lot of progress has been made at our new Gap Ridge facility in Karratha. The office fit-out and facilities are looking great, and we look forward to moving in over the coming months.

Now onto this month's edition of The Fix, where we will take a look at a confined space rescue, spend some time with Jason and Katie Markwell, shine a light on our most recent Northern Star Achievement and Safety Champion award winners as well as I take some time to reflect on a work anniversary of my own.

I also want to mention International Women’s Day, which was held on Friday 8 March. This year, the theme was "Inspire Inclusion," which was a great opportunity to reflect on the role we all play in doing this. As part of International Women’s Day, the National Association of Women in Operations (NAWO) is launching their 100 Women in Operations campaign. If you want to find out more about what we did for International Women’s Day, go to Monocle.

Thank you for all your hard work, and please remember that the safe way is the only way.
