Welcome to the latest edition of The Fix.
At Monos’, our people are at the heart of everything we do. In this edition, we showcase some inspiring stories that highlight the growth, achievements, and well-deserved recognition of some of the fantastic individuals that help shape our culture and success.
In September, more than 130 leaders from across the M&IS division gathered for the annual Leadership Conference. It was a fantastic way to connect with the diverse businesses at Monos’ and take away some valuable lessons learnt that can be applied in our business.
As part of the conference program, we presented the divisional safety awards. The Karratha Workshop was commended for its improved safety performance in the last financial year and were able to reduce their TRIFR by over 50 per cent. We also took out the Delivering the Safe Way in Action awards – the individual winner was Nigel Harris at Cape Lambert and the team winner was Team 4 Scaffolders out at Dampier Fixed Plant Maintenance.
While it’s great to receive positive recognition for our safety efforts, our safety performance across all of MMNW has been poor over the last few months. Hand injuries and Working at Height risks have been the key trends. We need to be mindful of this and take stock of what we need to do to ensure we maintain our high safety standards. Safety will always be our top priority and nothing is more important than everyone returning home safely each day.
In the community space, our 2025 Community Grants Program is now open. This year, we’ve expanded it to eight regions: Karratha, Newman, Port Hedland, Bunbury and surrounds, Darwin, Gladstone, Goldfields, and Roxby Downs. Applications close 31 October 2025, so if you know a local project, event or initiative that could benefit visit https://grantsprogram.monadelphous.com.au/en-au/home for eligibility criteria and to apply.
Until the next edition, stay safe and look after your mates.
