Welcome to the latest edition of The Fix!
In this issue we celebrate a major milestone – the completion of the Flying Fish Automated Road Train Facility. The project kicked off in April this year with our Port and East Pilbara Ops team and has demonstrated the strength of our customer partnership through successful collaboration.
Earlier this month, the Port and East Pilbara Team were also awarded the Teamwork Baton for demonstrating outstanding safety leadership by working together and taking a proactive approach to fatal risk controls. The wider Mining and Minerals North West Region group was also commended for their efforts in ‘embracing the red’ and as a result, MMNW have been responsible for completing half the Fatal Risk Control Verification interventions across the entire M&IS division.
Following on from the launch of Respect@Monadelphous, our respectful behaviour framework, we had our first formal sign on to our leadership-led commitment: Respect in Every Step. The formal sign on took place at the M&IS Leadership Conference in Perth, with more than 120 of the division’s leaders in attendance. You’ll start to see Respect in Every Step actively displayed throughout our sites, workshops and offices and embraced and acted on by your senior leaders and embedded into your teams. You can also find more information about Respect@Monadelphous here.
Finally, I’d like to congratulate Adrian Daley who has joined the 20-year anniversary club. Adrian has worn many hats over the years, kicking off his Monos journey at the Sleat Road office in September 2004 as a Credit Administrator and is now the Commercial Manager for MMNW. Adrian’s experience, knowledge, work ethic and values continually deliver the best outcomes for our team, and I’d like to thank him for his contributions and look forward to many years to come!
As we rapidly approach the end of 2024, please make sure you continue to look after yourselves and your mates.
Nick
