Idea: Proposal to introduce AirDeck Soft Landing Bags as an additional critical control for our "Working @ Height" Fatal Risk. AirDeck involves rapid deployment of inflatable PVC bags (2100mm x 750mm x 750mm) that provide a cushioned surface 750mm above ground level.
Many current working at height activities rely on a single layer of control to protect against potential injury - for the individual to hook up to lanyard. AirDeck provides an additional mitigation for the risk of a fatality due to a fall from height.
Potential Benefits: HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT - Significantly reduce the potential consequence of any fall from height.
Current Status: The M&IS Innovation team have started investigating AirDeck and similar products – vote to let the team know you like the idea!

Idea: Eliminate hot works in hazardous areas by using a 2-action nut system to tighten and release from the bolt.
Potential Benefits: HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT - Elimination of hot works in hazardous areas, especially around screens, belts and chutes etc.; additionally, remove the need to use hydraulic nut splitters that can bring other hazards. PRODUCTIVITY - Potential for big time savings on large jobs from not having to remove seized bolts and nuts.
Current Status: This product has been trialled on customer sites in the past; the team is currently looking for engagement and endorsement from other customers.

Idea: Monadelphous has many decades of historical execution data that we may be able to use to train generative artificial intelligence (AI) platforms. The proposed AI platform would incorporate 'lessons learnt', key variables, and relevant tendering "norms" to provide guidance on best practice and drive improvement / growth.
Potential Benefits: RISK REDUCTION - The AI platform could be used to develop and / or "stress test" Monadelphous tender submissions.
Current Status: The M&IS Innovation team have started investigating options for this idea – vote to let the team know you like the idea!
