[Jobs with us](https://news.monadelphous.com.au/jobs-with-us) - [Benefits](https://news.monadelphous.com.au/benefits) - [Contact us](https://news.monadelphous.com.au/contact-us) # Supporting the Karratha community [Sustainability](https://news.monadelphous.com.au/the-fix/tag/sustainability) [Karratha](https://news.monadelphous.com.au/the-fix/tag/karratha) [Community](https://news.monadelphous.com.au/the-fix/tag/community) 7 Feb 2024 1 Minute Read Twenty-one Karratha-based not-for-profit community groups and grassroots organisatons, have received grants as part of the inaugural Monadelphous Karratha Community Grants Program, with a collective value of $50,000.   The small grants, ranging from $2,000 up to $5,000, are designed to assist with the costs associated with running a community group or club.   Monadelphous General Manager – Energy, Doug Macintyre said the Program is an important part of the company’s ongoing commitment to the Karratha community.   “Monadelphous has been a part of the Karratha community for over 30 years, with a significant number of our employees living and working in the region and contributing to the community,” Doug said.  “We have a long history supporting not-for-profit organisations in the region and, through these targeted grants, are proud to help these groups provide important services and opportunities that enrich the local community.”  The funding has supported a range of uses, from providing a new shade sail at a local primary school to keep students sun safe, to new sports team uniforms and netball clubroom upgrades, as well as a range of other community-driven initiatives.   The grants application period opened on 1 August 2023 and closed 30 September 2023.   Mondalephous awarded the grants to the following groups:   Dampier Sharks Junior Football Club  Energy Club of Western Australia  Karratha District Junior Soccer Association Inc  Karratha Falcons Cricket Club  Karratha Falcons Junior Football Club  Karratha Family Centre  Karratha Gymnastics Club  Karratha Mudcrabs Masters Football Club  Karratha Netball Association  Karratha Primary School  Karratha Touch Association  Karratha Water Polo Association Inc  Karratha-Dampier Tee Ball Association  Millars Well Primary School Parents & Citizens Association  Pegs Creek Primary School  Pilbara Academy of Football  Tambrey Primary School  West Pilbara Cricket Association  Wickham Amateur Swim Club  Wickham Basketball Association Inc.  Wickham Softball Association Inc.  For more information on the Fund visit the Monadelphous [Karratha Community Grants](https://grantsprogram.monadelphous.com.au/karratha) page.   ![Karratha Netball Association ](https://news.monadelphous.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/The%20Fix%20January%20Blog%20website.jpg?width=600&height=338&name=The%20Fix%20January%20Blog%20website.jpg) Karratha Netball Association  ## Leave a comment Previous Post What’s that feeling?
