Works Manager Nick Jokich started with RTW on an initial 3-month contract back in 1988 and never looked back.
34 years later and with RTW now part of Monadelphous, Nick’s role is to guide the business in maintaining high standards of fabrication and ensuring customer satisfaction. He said that being able to achieve this comes down to having a great team who are dedicated to success.
“My focus is on ensuring we maintain a strong reputation with our customers – having a skilled and dedicated team of trades in the workshop and on-site makes my job easy,” he said.
Nick said that a rewarding part of the job is seeing people develop and grow within the business.
“We’ve had some great talent come through the team and I see them go through their training as apprentices and then move on to solid careers as tradespersons or into supervisor roles,” he said.
“Seeing this development and supporting team members from when they start out is fantastic to see and to be a part of.”
Nick made the move to Bunbury in the 1980’s and enjoys both the working environment as well as the local lifestyle.
“I moved down from working in the north-west with the plan of working shutdowns and casual positions while semi-retiring to play more golf but that all changed,” he said.
“It’s very rewarding being a part of the Monadelphous group and particularly the RTW team here in Bunbury – it’s a good bunch of people and we have excellent leaders.”
When he’s not at work, Nick is now putting some of his original plans into practice, owning a small hobby farm running cattle and horses on the weekends and finding time for some golf.
RTW are celebrating one year of being a part of the Monadelphous group and it is the ongoing work of people like Nick that has made this transition possible.
Thanks Nick for your ongoing commitment to the business.
