As many of our people live and work in Karratha, it is important to us that we support a range of community groups and events, including the popular FeNaClNG Festival. The festival is about celebrating community spirit and displaying what the Pilbara and its people have to offer.
As we celebrate our 50th year in operation this year, the FeNaCING Festival is also marking its 50th anniversary. In 2022, we are proud to be the Fireworks Spectacular naming rights sponsor.
FeNaClNG Project Events Officer Sheridan Dryden said that sponsors of the event ensure the long-term success of the event.
“The FeNaClNG Festival is a well-loved event which celebrates the local community, its members and resources,” she said.
“Support from Monadelphous ensures this festival is continued to be delivered to the community to celebrate our local people.”
The festival involves a range of activities and performances, showcasing displays of taekwondo, cultural performances, local bands, and dance groups along with a tug-of-war competition and the fireworks spectacle.
If you are in Karratha on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July, make sure you head down to Bulgarra Oval and join in this iconic community event – bring the whole family as there is something for everyone!
Fun Fact: The name of the FeNaClNG Festival (pronounced Fee-knackling) is representative of the main resources in the region – Fe = iron, NaCI = salt, NG = natural gas
