Hi everyone,
Welcome to another edition of The Pipeline.
I want to start by acknowledging our continued focus on health, safety, and the environment across our business. We have now reached six months without a recordable injury requiring medical treatment.
This is a strong result and one we should all be proud of; however, it also reinforces the importance of staying alert and consistent in how we manage risk every day.
Let’s continue to look out for one another and keep safety front of mind in everything we do.
As we move through the final period of the financial year, it is important that we maintain our focus and discipline.
We still have work to do, and expectations remain high across all areas of the business. Thank you to everyone for the effort and commitment you continue to show.
This month’s newsletter highlights a range of activities across our teams and communities. In the Goldfields, we reflect on participation in Mental Health Week, including attendance at a forum designed to provide further insight and understanding around mental health in the workplace. The team also supported a separate school visit, which offered a valuable opportunity to engage with students and give back to the local community more directly.
In Bunbury, we spent time with representatives from the Bunbury Surf Life Saving Club, one of our Community Grant recipients. It is always rewarding to see the direct impact these grants are having at a local level.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge Michael King, aka “Kingy”, who will be retiring shortly. Kingy has made a significant contribution to our business over many years, particularly at Olympic Dam.
His experience, leadership and consistent approach have been highly valued, and he will be missed by everyone across the business.
On behalf of everyone at MMS, thank you Kingy for your commitment and contribution. We wish you all the very best for your retirement and golf handicap!
Cheers,
Paul
