Leadership Updates
2 Minute Read

What a year it’s been! As we approach the end of 2025, momentum across our projects is strong. Before we all take a well-earned break, I want to share some exciting updates and acknowledge the incredible efforts that have led us here.

At Western Range, our team remobilised to site to complete a critical crane rope install and testing activity. This work is now complete and is another example of how quickly and effectively we respond to our customers’ needs. It also brings to an end, 17 months of hard work on the Western Range project supporting RTIO in bringing their new mine online.

It has also been a busy period at Prominent Hill, with the team successfully completing a major shutdown to replace key components at the heart of the existing processing plant. This complex scope of work, undertaken in a tight area, was completed without incident, a credit to the team involved. Overall, the project is heading into the completions phase with SMP works substantially complete and handover to the Client taking place progressively through to the New Year. The team will take a well-deserved break over Christmas before returning in January to complete the works and finish demobilising from site.

Our Tendering and ECI teams have had an incredibly busy period, and their commitment to securing works for our continued growth is to be highly commended. Thanks to their efforts, and the strong performance shown in the field, we’re in a great position heading into the new year and hope to share some good news soon.

I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the Pluto Train 1 Project team. We are extremely grateful to this team who will be working hard through the Christmas break on a critical project for our customer. We know that being away from family and loved ones at this time of year is especially difficult, and your commitment does not go unnoticed. Thank you for the commitment you continue to show.

Huge congratulations to Lee Oakley, our Welding Engineering Manager, on his recent recognition by Weld Australia. Lee was awarded the Mick Cudmore Award at Weld Australia’s 2025 Western Australia Welding Excellence Awards in recognition of his industry leadership and commitment to raising professional standards across the industry. Well done, Lee! We’re extremely proud of all that you have done and continue to do.

I’m a big believer in supporting our local communities and adding value to the areas in which we work. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the Victoria Park Men’s Shed, where I was shown the magnificent wood storage units the group had completed with funding received from us. It was great to see firsthand the positive impact this support has on local initiatives and the people behind them.

Congratulations to all of our divisional Tinny Time winners from 2025. Positive safety moments happen every day across our projects, and Tinny Time nominations are a great way to recognise individuals who consistently demonstrate safe practices. It’s been inspiring to see people from different projects taking the time to acknowledge each other through these nominations.

Our Safety performance continues to improve. As we wrap up 2025, our Finishing Strong, Starting Stronger campaign is a timely reminder to keep safety front of mind and ensure we all get home safely. The end-of-year period is one of the highest-risk times for our people. Increased pressures, searing heat and the distractions of the festive season can easily take our focus off the job. That’s when mistakes happen, and none of us want that. Our focus this month is on distractions and the importance of checking in, staying focused and checking out. This means taking the time to check in on your mates, watch for signs of stress or fatigue, and make sure nothing gets missed. Nothing is more important than getting everyone home safe every day.

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication throughout the year. Wishing you and your families a safe and happy Christmas, and I look forward to what we’ll achieve together in 2026.
