A Christmas message from Russell

Leadership Updates EC
1 Minute Read

And here we are, the final newsletter for 2024.

As we wrap up the year, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We can all reflect with pride on what has been a successful year for Monadelphous Engineering Construction, Mondium and Inteforge.

Our revenue grew more than 30% across the EC division in FY24, safety performance was solid, and delivery of projects, including several shutdowns, has been on time or ahead of schedule.

Thank you all for your contribution to this success, and to those working over the holiday season, thank you for your dedication—it is greatly appreciated.

For BHP in Western Australia, we have made great progress at OreBody 32, continued fantastic work on Car Dumper 3 (CD3) and recently achieved a major milestone in completing the substation slab pour, celebrated by both the Melchor and EC project team. We have also continued with the Train Load Out (TLO) ECI, which puts us in a solid position for work to commence next year.

Inteforge recently had the privilege to win fabrication packages for BHP’s Prominent Hill copper mine and for Illuka Resources, developing the nationally significant Eneabba rare earths refinery. These projects being fabricated in Vietnam, along with the growing APLNG Skids Portfolio in China keeps the Inteforge team fully utilised well into next year.

Our Mondium team are also progressing well on Rio’s new sampling facility near Dampier, WA. Engineering is nearing final project definition, and earthworks onsite, with the support of Melchor have commenced and we are hoping to undertake first Piling before we break for Christmas. The project team have recently managed a few unexpected scenarios with professionalism, something that I am proud of the team for.

As always, the run up to Christmas is a busy time for both sites and head office, and this year is no different, especially for the tendering team. With multiple major tenders due in the coming weeks, I would like to recognise everyone involved who contributes to the mammoth effort in putting the bids together.  I am sure that all your hard work will bear fruits for the wider EC team when we win some of these major projects next year, thank you.

Approaching the Christmas break, it is vital for everyone to maintain focused on the task at hand without distractions. Please stay safe, look after one another, and take time to recharge.

Finally, I wish you and your families a wonderful holiday season and I look forward to seeing you all back in 2025 for an exciting year ahead.

Thanks again,

Russ
