Last November, our onshore team welcomed a group of Year 11 and 12 students from Clontarf Academy and Stars Foundation for a hands-on look at what a future in our industry can feel like.
The students explored the onshore facility, met the people who keep it running and got a real-world snapshot of life at an LNG operation.
The day also included an expo session and a relaxed lunch with members of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce, creating plenty of opportunities for conversation, questions and learning.
Monadelphous were represented by four of our apprentices, who were all available to chat to the students and answer any questions about job and training opportunities.
Engagement opportunities like this support our collective commitment to actively seeking ways to maximise employment opportunities for Larrakia and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The Stars Foundation provides a holistic program that supports Indigenous girls and young women to attend and remain engaged at school, complete Year 12 and more into work or further study.
Clontarf Academy, part of the Clontarf Foundation supports the education, discipline, life-skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men.
