Earlier this morning, we announced to the ASX that we have received a letter of intent for a variation to our existing offshore maintenance services contract with INPEX. Valued at approximately $75 million per annum, the variation will see us add to our current scope of work for INPEX, to now include maintenance services for INPEX's onshore processing facilities at Bladin Point in Darwin, Northern Territory.
As you may be aware, our existing long-term maintenance contract with INPEX was first awarded in 2017 and includes operational, campaign and shutdown services and brownfield projects implementation associated with the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG offshore facilities in the Browse Basin, approximately 450 kilometres from Broome, Western Australia.
I’m very proud that our team’s strong performance over the initial contract term led to a four-year extension for the offshore contract in May 2023, when we also took on the brownfields scope of work.
Congratulations to everyone involved in securing this new work for INPEX’s onshore processing facilities, it is a testament to our team’s commitment to delivering quality outcomes at Ichthys LNG over the past 10 years, dating back to when we played a significant role in the construction phase of the Project.
We are incredibly pleased that we’ll be continuing to support our long-term customer, INPEX, on its world-class Ichthys LNG facilities in the years to come.
