Last year, the Oil and Gas business achieved 100% against their Performance Management KPI’s, significantly succeeding the expected completion target set.

This fantastic result was achieved during the 2021 performance management season, when managers facilitated performance appraisals and plans for over 230 permanent employees.

Oil and Gas Human Resources Lead Laura Dolling said the appraisals and plans were well detailed and documented.

“It is great to see quality conversations being had between managers and their employees on career aspirations and training actions for the year,” she said.

For the first time, the performance plans were submitted via an electronic format, allowing the Human Resources team to readily report and analyse training needs for the business unit and develop an in-house training plan based on the types of courses being requested by employees.

“In the last half of 2021, management approved in-house training requests for over 200 participants hosted at the Victoria Park and Shell House offices which is excellent and shows that our employees are engaged and eager to develop.

“The types of courses we conducted included MS Excel, Time Management in Outlook, Foundational Leadership Skills Workshops and the Live the Behaviours program, which is a customised program aligned to the Monadelphous Senior Leadership Capability Framework,” said Laura.

As the 2022 Performance Management season quickly approaches it is an opportune time to reflect on what was achieved in the previous 12 months and how it connects with ongoing Human Resources activities throughout the year.

“We always strive to ensure that quality performance conversations are occurring throughout the business unit and that the process is meaningful to the employee.

“We are committed to continue to develop our employees so they can succeed in their current and future roles,” said Laura.
