Meet Tahlia, the first person at MMNW to complete the HSE Passport.
The completion of the HSE Passport is a key milestone in our HSE Pathway Program, which was launched in 2022. It’s a huge achievement and a proud moment for both Tahlia and the team.
Tahlia’s journey with Monos’ started in recruitment, before she headed offshore in 2024 as an HSE administration officer during a major turnaround.
That experience sparked something new.
“I didn’t know much about HSE at the time,” Tahlia admits.
“But I was lucky to work under Steve White and Justin Meredith, who showed me the ropes and sparked my interest in the field.”
From that point, she was hooked. Tahlia signed up for a Cert IV, joined the HSE Pathway Program, and quickly grew into her role under the guidance of senior leaders. Today, she’s a permanent HSE Officer in Tom Price, thriving in a team she says has been a “game changer” for her growth.
The HSE Pathway Program is designed to give people the tools and confidence to step into HSE roles. At the centre of it all is the HSE Passport, which supports leadership capability and builds knowledge and experience in the field.
As part of MMNW’s strategic plan, the HSE Passport was developed to provide further support and development within the HSE function. HSE Officers, Advisors and Coordinators are enrolled in the program and are assigned a champion to help guide and mentor them.
Tahlia’s success shows exactly what the program is about, and she’s excited for what comes next.
“HSE offers so many paths, and Monadelphous backs you to upskill and explore new opportunities. That’s what keeps me motivated,” Tahlia said.
And the program is only getting bigger! This year, three new participants have joined the MMNW intake and are already off to a great start.
The HSE Pathway Program is built around people, so if you know someone who you think would make a great candidate, reach out to Dion Fleay or your HSE team.
