A message from Paul Francis

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the September edition of The Pipeline.

There’s a lot happening across the business at the moment, with activity levels continuing to increase and our teams doing a great job of forecasting and planning for what’s ahead.

With that increased activity, I want to bring our focus back to safety. We’ve had some really strong results across the business, including nine months recordable incident free across our Southern Region and 12 months in the Goldfields. That’s a fantastic effort from everyone involved and something we should all be proud of.

At the same time, we’ve had a minor incident in the Goldfields just one day after reaching the 12-month mark, which is a timely reminder that we can’t take our eye off the ball.

As we head into the warmer months and things get busier, it’s important we keep our hands on the wheel, look out for one another and speak up when something doesn’t look right. A strong safety record is something we build every day, not something we can take for granted.

We also recently marked R U OK? Day, which is a good opportunity to remind ourselves that looking after our people goes beyond physical safety. While R U OK? Day gives us a reason to stop and check in, those conversations are just as important throughout the year. Taking the time to ask someone how they’re going, and genuinely listening to the answer, can make a real difference.

I’m also pleased to see our FY27 Community Grants Program now open for applications. This year, the program is bigger than ever, supporting community groups and not-for-profit organisations across the regions where we live and work. With grants of up to $2,000 available, we’re looking to support local events, clubs, education and environmental programs, and projects that bring people together. If you know a local organisation that could benefit, I encourage you to spread the word and let them know applications are open until 28 October. It’s a great way for us to support the people and communities around us and the work they’re doing locally.

And finally, a big congratulations to Brian King from our Fleet Maintenance Business, who recently celebrated an incredible 25 years with Monadelphous. Twenty-five years is a fantastic milestone and a great reflection of Brian’s contribution to the business. Well done, Brian, and thank you for everything you’ve done for Monos over the years.

As always, thanks to everyone for continuing to look out for yourselves and each other. Let’s keep the momentum going, but most importantly, let’s keep safety at the front of mind.
