Over two days in September, 55 of our Graduates and Undergraduates gathered at The Maali Function Centre at Perth Zoo for the 2025 Graduate Development Forum.

This year’s theme, Future Ready, was all about giving our early career talent the skills, tools and confidence to tackle the future, both personally and professionally.

The event was packed with inspiring speakers, interactive workshops and hands-on activities.

It was kicked off by Nick Hudson, the founder and CEO of the Push for Better Foundation, with an uplifting keynote speech about his life and insights into running Australia’s largest mental health and fitness event, The Push-Up Challenge.

Graduates also took part in sessions on critical thinking and communication with facilitator Bethan Winn, financial wellbeing with Lacey Filipich, and an engaging discussion on how different generations bring unique strengths and perspectives to the workplace.

John O’Brien, General Manager of Energy, and Damien Johnson, General Manager of E&I and International Projects, shared insights into the Engineering Construction and Maintenance & Industrial Services divisions, followed by a Q&A that gave graduates a closer look at how their work connects to the broader business.

The two-day event wrapped up in the evening where graduates had the chance to unwind, celebrate milestones, connect across disciplines and meet our Summer Vacation Students and 2026 Graduates, who will join the business over the coming months.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year’s Graduate Forum such a success, from our inspiring speakers and divisional leaders to the Early Careers team and every graduate who brought their energy and enthusiasm to the event!
