Congratulations to our October Monos’ Moment winner, William Goulding from Roxby Downs!
Will showed great initiative in keeping his crew and others safe on site. He installed flashing lights on a ladder to alert personnel working near the underground cuddy at the 64-level substations that a cable reel was partially obstructing the road. Later, when faced with a flat tyre underground, he relocated the LV to a safe area and placed flashing lights at both ends to alert nearby drivers, going above and beyond the safety protocols.
A great example of thinking ahead and looking out for others – well done, Will!
Let’s also give a big shout-out to our other October nominees, each of whom will receive a $50 gift card for their efforts:
Benjamyn Clark, Wren Mercado & Alan Garan – During a recent Low Ore Outage, the entire Tanami team excelled, so much so that the client added additional emergent scope for the team to tackle. To get the job done, Wren, Alan and Benji all offered to remain back and complete the work. Their no-fuss attitude and willingness to stay back, even giving up part of their R&R break, showed incredible loyalty to both the team and the client.
Chris Purcell – Chris continually coordinates bussing for the crew using his own time, even making two runs when needed. This commitment and reliability perfectly reflect some of S32’s core values and his strong sense of responsibility.
Dean Taylor – After the Worsley Boiler shutdown was moved by two weeks and several candidates were no longer available, Dean stepped up and reached out to contacts to help fill the roles. His proactive approach and willingness to help demonstrate genuine mateship and care for the team.
Jason Smith – Jason has played a major role in making Monadelphous Harvey Beef’s preferred contractor. His strong work ethic, can-do attitude and flexibility – including stepping in for last-minute weekend work – have built great trust with the client and kept their assets running smoothly.
Kane Dawson – At the RTW Capel facility, Kane has been managing a busy workload that involves high-risk activities using overhead cranes and forklifts. Despite the pressure, his top priority remains safety. He ensures clear communication, sets up no-go zones, uses tag lines, and pauses tasks when needed to keep everyone safe.
Mario Du Plessis – Mario has been leading MMS’s engagement with Group IT for the SharePoint migration project – a complex task requiring both technical and operational understanding. His dedication, thorough documentation, and honest communication have kept the project moving and helped shape informed decisions about the future state.
Mick King – While completing upgrades to the Southwest office facilities, Mick has taken great pride in delivering work of a consistently high standard. He’s demonstrated integrity throughout, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, promptly and to a quality finish.
Psalms Teau – Psalms has gone above and beyond his role as a Trade Assistant at Tanami. He frequently supports the scaffolding team and even gained his intermediate scaffold ticket off his own initiative. By upskilling and applying his learning on site, he’s helping lift the entire team’s capability – great work, Psalms!
Teresa Fariss – Teresa’s administration team has faced significant change recently, with team members going on maternity leave, retiring and moving on. Despite the turnover, Teresa has trained new staff, supported her team to take on new roles, and often worked additional hours to keep things running smoothly. She’s done it all with a calm, can-do attitude and maintained excellent team output.
Vinny Panetta – Vinny demonstrated our safety guarantee in action by identifying and reporting a faulty chain block through the correct procedure. His proactive approach and professionalism make him a highly valued rigger on site.
Well done to you all!
