I am pleased to announce that the M&IS Teamwork Baton has recently travelled to Roxby Downs in South Australia, awarded to the team at Olympic Dam, who have achieved customer recognition for performance while marking over 365 days of recordable injury-free operations.

Teamwork, communication and safety have been the pillars of the Olympic Dam team over the past year. Their ability to work together has been instrumental in navigating challenging circumstances and achieving significant improvements in both safety and efficiency.

Working together to identify improvements, their focus and efforts have ensured each team member goes home safely every single day. Ticking over 12 months without a recordable injury reflects their culture where safety is prioritised above all else.

Their collaborative spirit has helped to rewrite Olympic Dam's history yet again, as they supported our customer in setting new records for Total Material Milled, Concentrate Smelted, and Gold. Achieving two consecutive years of copper cathode production above 200kt is also a new record at Olympic Dam. Even with mineralogy challenges, the results for UOC and Silver were outstanding.

This remarkable achievement highlights teamwork and the importance of each team member’s contribution, showing what can be accomplished when we work together towards common goals.

Congratulations to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Roxby Downs, deserving baton winners.
