From triathlons to tower cranes

Since relocating to Australia four years ago, Tomasz has played a pivotal role in establishing the Alevro joint venture, bringing with him a wealth of global engineering experience from his time at Fagioli. 

His career path reads like a travel journal with a technical twist: after starting in Poland and Italy as a project engineer, he moved to Singapore in 2018 as Regional Engineering Manager before finally settling in Perth in 2021.  

In 2022, he took on the role of Engineering Manager at Alevro, where he now drives the development of challenging heavy lift solutions. 

“Engineering at Alevro is anything but routine,” Tomasz said. 

“Each project brings its own set of challenges, constantly pushing us to think creatively and refine our skills.  

“Over the past ten years, I’ve never once felt bored – if anything, I often lose track of time, completely absorbed in the problem-solving and innovation that defines our work. 

“What I enjoy most is the complexity. This industry keeps your brain on – every day is a puzzle. You push boundaries, you improve, and it’s always interesting.” 

Outside of work, Tomasz is an explorer at heart, fascinated by science, history, and all things sci-fi. If there's a good series or documentary out there, odds are he’s already seen it. He's also an endurance sports enthusiast who’s tackled triathlons and recently completed the Rottnest swim with his Alevro teammates. 

Born in Poland, with roots across Europe and Asia, he’s now building new ones here in Australia while travelling back to Poland twice a year to stay close to home.

While future career steps are on the horizon, his current focus is simple: keep improving, stay curious, and continue building Alevro’s technical excellence.
