Let’s talk about safety

Our second HSE focus day took place earlier this month; this forum provides a great opportunity for leaders from across all our operations to discuss key topics relating to safety within the region.  

The day included presentations in each of the operating areas, talking through what good looks like, sharing trends, talking through key innovations and having the opportunity to discuss as a group what can be done better in the safety space moving forward. 

HSE Lead, Nathan James believes that creating an environment to discuss safety as a collative has already positively impacted the region.  

“It is important that we create this dedicated time for our leaders to discuss what is happening in operations in relation to safety, allowing them the chance to collaborate and share information. As a group, we come up with ways to continue to improve our safety performance and culture.”  

“We have already seen success from this initiative, and we will continue to look for other opportunities to share knowledge around the business,” Nathan said.
